What is your writing like?

Good morning everybody! 

Right since I was a little girl I loved changing my writing. I liked to copy that of my friends and try new types that I saw around. I didn't know why I liked it so much. I just did. I remember someone saying to me that that was because my personality wasn't developed, since writing says so much about the person. Don't know about that. I just like different types of writing and to imagine how it feels to write in one way or another. I am also strangely fussy about what pencil or pen I use for different notes. 

It was nice to discover that I am not odd when coming across like-minded people in the internet.

I miss you Barcelona!

As you can imagine we had a fantastic time in Barcelona. The weather was great and I even got a bit of a tan when we went walking around Montjuic and cycled around Poble Nou, next to the beach.

Marta looked after us all the time. She was absolutely wonderful, as always, and took us to many different places. She has been living there for a long time and knows the coolest places.

And we had to stop to have a nice thick hot chocolate to revive us and give us energy to carry on walking the streets of this city. None of us really wanted to....but we made an effort!

A big, big thank you to you Marta. You made this holiday a really special one. And thanks to your friends and your sister, for contributing to nice memories of our stay.

We can't wait to be back!

Barcelona here I come!

This weekend we are going to Barcelona. Can't wait to see the sun, the architecture, my friend. To enjoy the streets, the food, the scenery. This city is such a treat. It is a city that makes one happy. It ignites creativity, it feels you with energy.

I long for the blue sky, the warmth in my skin, the smell of the sea, of fish, cold beer. Long days, easy going feeling, being outdoors for hours and hours, with shops open till late, with lots of bars, restaurants, cafes... Can you tell by this post how much I miss living there?

Hello everybody! I made this tool bag this weekend. It looks quite plain from the outside, but wait to see the inside...

I found a little treasure

I got this book on quilting last Saturday in a charity shop. Just for £2.

It is very complete, with patterns of all sorts

If this book had been printed recently it would cost a fortune. It is so good.

I am not in the right mood right now to start a quilt, but I know there will be one day when I will be really happy to have this book around. I think I fancy taking pictures and making drawings these days. What are you into these days?

Pss pss

I made this cat face pillow for the little boy of a friend of mine. I wanted to knit a sweater for him, and I started and realised it would take me a life time to produce something that would probably end up being too small or poor looking. So I went down the easy route and sew something. I am still not that into knitting....

And I finished the pillow a couple of weeks ago.... It is surprising how a little item with the right colours can change the feel to a room. Everyone that has seen it at home has made a nice comment on it. It is nice to be able to make something that others can appreciate as well.
