Help needed

Hallo there. I am bitterly disappointed because my sewing machine is acting silly again. The upper tension is not working, and it doesn't matter if I try to change it with the wheel, it just kind of makes no difference or it gets worse.
I only payed £99 for it because I didn't know if I was going to get into sewing or not at the time. Servicing it costs £50, and that is if no other repair is necessary. I guess I should invest in a better machine, but, which? If you do use a machine that has been reliable, could you tell me which one, please? Also, am I doing something fundamentally wrong?
And here is a photo, because a post cannot possibly a post without a photo. Thank you all in advance for your comments. I feel very lost!

My behaviour

I love going to fabric shops, haberdasheries, art supply shops and places where they sell material that I can see myself using for my creative projects. My brain starts working a bit like The Terminator, analasing the area, the contents, acting like a radar. But R thinks my body language resembles that of a meerkat. So here is a photo I took of a meerkat when we went to the Cotswolds Wild Life Park. You know what? He is sooooo right!

Ta da!!

Such a pleasure to sew again! I hadn't been doing it for ages because the sewing machine had been misbehaving, but now that it is working properly I can see myself again spending lots of happy hours making lots of things.

I can now be tidy and put all my yarn and hooks inside the bag rather than having them laying around.
I have to admit that at times I believed that this was a doomed project. You know, one of those that do not happen smoothly for one reason or another. I wished I had enjoyed every single step of the project, but this time it was a bit of a struggle. But I am very happy with how it has turned out, and it is such a wonderful feeling to surround myself of things I have made that I like.

Back in UK and ready to sew!

Good morning everyone!
I am back from Spain, with a tan, with 2 extra kilos on my lovely hips and with a chilled out attitude. I didn't get around to do any crafting, mainly because I was too busy laying down reading, on the beach, on the sofa, on the bed.

I tried to make a bag for my crochet stuff before I left but my sewing machine gave up on me. My lovely R has cleaned it and had a good look at it (boys and machines, you know!), and it seems to be working now. I adore my man! I can't wait to give it a go later today. But first is first and home duties call....

Spring colours

A little bit more shopping before we go to Spain. I love these colours! They are very springlike: fresh and flowery (if one can say that). I wished the cotton was cheaper though....mmmmm, do you know of any website or online shop that has good deals? I don't want to miss out if there are any good bargains out there!

Andalucia

We are going off to sunny Spain! Que viva Espana!
Oh, yes! Tomorrow we will be heading to lovely Andalucia, where we will spend 9 days in the sunshine, working on our tan, our diet and enjoying a relaxing and fun way of life.
I used to spend every single summer here, visiting my family, who I adore. I can't wait to be there! I just can't!
